Abstract: 

The proposed software solution is a tool developed for the analysis, forecast and visualization of geophysical data, which is collected and provided by a set of spatially distributed heterogeneous data repositories via standard web protocols (HTTP, HTTPs, FTP, etc. ). They include ground magnetic observatories and stations, satellites, as well as various numerical models based on geophysical standards and specifications. The technological stack is limited with the tool’s web-based implementation and represented by integrated client-and server-side technologies with specialized frameworks and APIs. Client-side implementation is represented by several markup, styling and interaction software technologies, which are HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript with geospatial ESRI ArcGIS API for JavaScript available as the RESTful resources. Django web framework based on the “Model – View – Controller” architectural model represents server-side implementation, where Python is the main programming language used for the application’s business logic. The complete Web-based GIS represents a web portal with a set of services providing a rich instrumentation for the appropriate geophysical data analysis, processing, and visualization. Each tool upon execution provides an interactive geospatial image, which is generated according to the user request parameters or by default date-time settings. The proposed web services are freely available at https: //aurora-forecast. ru and https: //geomagnetic. ru through the web browsers.

Abstract: 

The world is full of data which is increasing by leaps and bounds. In health care, big data is becoming common with increased electronic health data accumulation and/or accessibility to public data previously held under lock and key. At the same time, health data visualization applications have become popular over recent years. Against this background, a review was done to summarize the application of data visualization in public health & the challenges faced. Peer‑, reviewed original research articles and review articles searched in Google Scholar and Pubmed databases that were indexed in the last ten years period, using the keywords “, Big data”,or “, data visualization”,or “, interactive visualization techniques. ”,Other related information in books, blogs, and published documents were searched in Google search engine using the same keywords. Contents from the downloaded documents were presented and discussed under three headings viz. (a) the visualizations that are still current and how they have evolved further, (b) tools or methods that can be used by end‑, users to make their own modifications, (c) the platforms to disseminate them. Usage of different plots in public health is explained with suitable examples using the data from public health datasets. From the discussion it can be understood that when big data is visualized well, it can identify implementation gaps and disparities and accelerate implementation strategies to reach the population groups in most need for interventions. As health administrator may come from diverse specialties, robust training and career development for big data in public health is the need of the hour.

Abstract: 

Introduction: The purpose of the present study is to graphically and comprehensively illustrate the data on the impact of violent video games on the behavior of children and adolescents. Materials and Methods: This visualization system was designed based on the Schneider principle using the results of a clinical study carried out by psychologists at the Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, United States that included 242 children aged 8 to 12 years in three groups. All groups played different versions of the Minecraft game, then using data recorded in an Excel file on the Figshare site, four variables were depicted. The variables including finding the gun, length of time the gun was held, the number of trigger pulls, as well as demographic or control characteristics of age and gender of the children were evaluated. Results: visualization was designed in the Processing software environment and it was easy to compare the three groups using the color, shape, and coordinate channels. Accordingly, it appeared that violent behaviors in children who experienced gun play were greater than those played the sword; both of them showed more violent behaviors compared to the group who played the non-violent version. Violent behaviors were also more prevalent in male children in all three groups. In other words, girls in the 8-12 age group in all three groups were less likely to exhibit post-game aggression. Conclusion: In this study, data on the impact of violent video games on the behavior of children and adolescents were graphically and comprehensibly visualized based on the Schneider Principle and revealed that violent behaviors in children who experienced violent video games were higher than those in the control group. Violent behaviors were also more prevalent in male children in all three groups.

Abstract: 

Sacred characters sometimes appear in Hollywood works without their former sanctity. The present article aimed at studying how prophets are visualized in Hollywood, as the most prominent film production and distribution system in the world, from transcendentalistic and metaphoristic perspectives. This article presented a semiotic analysis of four Hollywood cinematic works dealing with the lives of prophets: The Ten Commandments, King David, The Last Temptation of Christ, and Passion of the Christ. In this paper, an analysis of the selected scenes from the above-mentioned films and also the quality of the visualization of the sacred characters depicted in these works was conducted.

Abstract: 

In the era of image and visual dominance, cinema is improving rapidly with the unique capability of transforming objective reality to motional image. Meanwhile, essentialities and technologic limitations of cinematic image, Muslim cineastes and media thinkers have faced the problem of how to transfer religious message via this instrument. Quran, as eternal miracle of the last Prophet, has depicted several discrete and intellectual conceptions to sensible symbols for the people; as if, in many of Quran verses, you are not standing in front of the words, but vis-à-vis live images that talk to you. Reflection on each of these Koranic artistic images besides understanding the logic and custom of visualization in Quran can inspire picturesque works. In this article, with regard to the possibility of transferring religious message via cinema, we have attempted to discover the capacities of Quranic visual literature for realization of “religious cinema”, comparing Quranic visualization to cinematic.

Abstract: 

The flow behavior around a cam shaped tube in a cross flow has been investigated experimentally using flow visualization and pressure distribution measurements. The range of attack angle and Reynolds number based on an equivalent circular diameter are within 0£a£360o and 2×104 Reeq>3.4×104), respectively. The pressure drag features are clarified in relation to the flow behavior around the tube. It is found that the highest pressure drag coefficient occurs at a=90o and 270o over the whole range of Reynolds number. Results show that the pressure drag coefficient of the cam - shaped tube is lower than that of a circular tube with the same surface area for more of the attack angles.
